Release Notes: December 2024
Your feedback plays an essential role in our updates to Landscape and recent improvements are no exception! We shifted the layout of navigation within record and project pages to make it easier to find data like attachments, time tracking, expenses, and funding. We also overhauled the contact editor and introduced new features, like the ability to confirm your edits. Also included in this update are major enhancements to our integrations with Salesforce and Little Green Light.
More options in the side navigation
There is a new layout in records and projects – the tab navigation is now moved to the left side. In records, links to Details, Work, Tasks, Communications, and Reports are now located in the side navigation. In projects, links to Budgets and Funding are also moved.
Links to see lists of Attachments, Time Tracking, Expenses, and Funding Disbursals are now located in the side navigation as well. This makes these pages easily accessible to give you direct access to important data.
The side navigation still includes links to open panels that display information associated with the record or project, like Activity, Contacts, Notes, Projects, and Relationships/Linked Records.
You can collapse the side navigation to increase space for the content of the page.
New contact editor
In Landscape, you can store Contacts and then associate those Contacts with properties and projects. This is one of the most powerful themes of Landscape: the ability to connect data with the land. You can label the association between a Contact and a property or project with a tag, like “Landowner”.
With this recent update, the contact editor has a new look, along with feature enhancements. Contact information is separated into blocks to visually organize the data on the page. You can click a block to edit the data and choose to confirm your edits.
The Communications list includes the ability to add, edit, and filter communications.
CRM integration enhancements
We updated our integrations with Little Green Light and Salesforce to improve the set up process, data field connections, and syncing process.
The Salesforce and Little Green Light (LGL) integrations enable two-way editing. Any changes you make to contacts from within Landscape will be synchronized automatically with the Salesforce or LGL. Changes made in Salesforce/LGL will be automatically synchronized with Landscape once a day, usually very early in the morning. You can also synchronize changes made in Salesforce immediately via a button in Settings > Integrations.
With these integrations, you can utilize the full potential of the CRM apps for donor management, while also working with contact data in a property/project context within Landscape.
If you are interested in setting up the integration with Salesforce or Little Green Light, see our Knowledge Base for information on how to get started.
Always innovating and improving
